The West Virginia Democratic Party recognized several dedicated Democrats at its 2009 Jefferson-Jackson Dinner Oct. 31 in Charleston. Winners received special certificates on stage and had their picture taken with top Democratic elected officials. The West Virginia Democratic Party would like to further recognize and congratulate all of the following winners:

n West Virginia Democratic Hall of Fame: Karen Coria, Putnam County - awarded by the West Virginia Democratic Party

n West Virginia Democrat of the Year: Pete Cuffaro, Ohio County - awarded by the West Virginia Democratic Party

n Eleanor Roosevelt Outstanding West Virginia Democratic Woman: Linda Collins, Braxton County - awarded by the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women

n Jennings Randolph Outstanding West Virginia Young Democrat of the Year: Robert Zickafoose, Kanawha County - awarded by the West Virginia Young Democrats
