Richard Allen Hart, 63, a resident of Dailey, departed this life late Tuesday evening, Nov. 3, 2009 at his home. He had been in declining health.

He was born Sunday, Jan. 6, 1946, at Elkins, a son of the late Cleophus Hart and Elva Blanche Cross Hart.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sheila Clark and husband, Stephen Leroy, of Buckhannon; Madonna Lunn and husband, Scott, of Lorain, Ohio; two sisters, Wanda Maxine Dean and Naola Mae Shipp, both of Elkins; and one granddaughter, Emma Clark.

Preceding him in death are three brothers, Edgar, Durwood and the Rev. Gilbert Levi Hart Sr.; and one sister, Nola "Jean" Currence.

He was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1964, and worked as the supervisor of construction for the West Virginia Division of Highways retiring in 2008.

The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Gilbert L. Hart Jr. and the Pastor Stephen Pyle will officiate and interment will follow in Israel Cemetery at Kerens.

Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Richard Allen Hart.
