MABB members to honor U.S. military

POSTED: November 6, 2009

Several members of the Mountainstate Association of Bed and Breakfasts (MABB) are providing free rooms on Tuesday in observance of Veterans Day (Nov. 11) to honor servicemen and women currently serving or who have previously served their country.

Ten properties throughout West Virginia have donated rooms for the holiday promotion.

Reservations need to be made directly with the participating Inns.

"We just wanted to say thank you to the courageous men and women from our armed forces," said Kathleen Panek, owner of the Gillum House in Shinnston. "These are some trying times for anyone serving or who has served, and a good night's rest is our way to say thank you."

A valid military ID will be required for each reservation.

For more information on the MABB Veterans Day promotion, call 304-592-0177.
