Jacob A. Harsh

Jacob A. Harsh, 23, of Buckhannon, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at his home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1986, at Buckhannon, the son of Robert L. and Carrie L. Thorpe Harsh of Buckhannon.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Ray and Joyce Thorpe of Queens; maternal grandmother, Violet Lucas of Freeport, Pa.; and paternal grandparents, Joyce and Dan Brown of Buckhannon.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Matthew Harsh.

Jacob served with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne in Afghanistan.

Friends will be received Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery in Barbour County.
