HONORING PASTORS - Highland Adventist School in Elkins recently hosted its first Pastor Appreciation Luncheon. Above, pastors enjoy a performance by the Highland String Orchestra. Below, Pastor Leon Brown visits with HAS sophomore Scott Wentz. Pastors from around the Elkins area and from as far away as Lost Creek attended the event. "As a Christian school, we believe it is important to honor our Christian pastors for the dedication and hard work," said Cheryl Jacko, principal. "Pastors who serve our students, as well as other pastors from the area, joined us for lunch." In addition to the orchestra performance, the event included a poem honoring pastors read by Chryston Alley and a vegetarian luncheon planned by Annetta Williams and other parents from the school. "The luncheon was a great success," Jacko said. "We hope to make it an annual event."
