D&E, Wesleyan win; A-B falters

Julieanne Buckley scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Davis & Elkins past Bluefield State 74-61 Tuesday night in West Virginia Conference action at the McDonnell Center.
Page Turner added 13 points and four assists, while Shalisa Hill tossed in with 11 for the Lady Senators (3-2, 1-2 WVIAC), who led 41-30 at the half.
Lindsay Holiday, Teonna Jewell, Natasa Pupic and Keri Dennison added six points apiece for D&E. Holiday also gathered five caroms.
Garcia Hanna had 14 points to lead Bluefield State. Kelly Pawlowski and Laken Coburn added nine points each in a losing effort.
D&E?will travel to Eastern Kentucky Dec. 11 for a non-conference matchup.
Wesleyan 89, Charleston 83
BUCKHANNON?- Lydia Bridenbaugh scored 24 points as Wesleyan outlasted Charleston 89-3 in double-overtime Tuesday night in West Virginia Conference play.
Danae Hill added 18 points for the Lady Bobcats (3-0, 2-0 WVIAC). Angela Tassari followed with 14 points, while Alex Hertenstein scored 12.
Wesleyan will travel to Concord Saturday.
Concord 75, A-B 44
PHILIPPI?- Sierra Brown fired in 28 points to lead Concord to a 75-44 win over Alderson-Broaddus Tuesday in West Virginia Conference action.
Meghan Cole added 23 points for Concord (4-0, 2-0 WVIAC), who led 41-19 at the break.
Caitlyn Brown scored 13 points to lead the Lady Battlers (1-4, 0-1). Tori Charley followed with nine points and five rebounds.
Alderson-Broaddus will travel to Charleston in Saturday.
