Roy and Emma Lou Teets of Elkins recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a family gathering at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, Fla.
The couple, their three children, Kathy Leombruno and husband, Jim, Debbie Manzo and fiance, Pepe Fundora, and David Teets and wife, Cindy; and granddaughters, Nicole Leombruno, Cortney Leombruno and Lacie Gunter and husband, Clifton, marked the golden anniversary.
The couple met when they were members of the Elkins High School marching band. They were married Oct. 10, 1959, at the First United Methodist Church by the Rev. J.C. Fisher.

Mr. Teets is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a former member of the 249th West Virginia Army National Guard Band and West Virginia Highlanders bagpipe band, and a retiree of Allegheny Power Co.
Mrs. Teets was formerly employed by the Randolph County Board of Education and Davis Trust Co. She belongs to the Ladies Thursday Early Bird Bowling League and is a member of the class of 1959 reunion committee.
They attend the Otterbein United Methodist Church where they are members of the church choir.
