Whitney Collins Watlington and Aaron Seth Taylor were married on April 25 in an outdoor ceremony on the front lawn of the historical Sutherlin Mansion in Danville, Va. The Rev. D. Michael Smith officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Cindi Collins and David Collins, both of Danville. She is granddaughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Roger Collins, the late Robert Lunsford, JoAnn Lunsford, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Astin III and Helen Shelton.

The bridegroom is the son of R. Kent and Paula Jane Taylor of Beverly. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Paul Morrison and the late Charles Roscoe Taylor and Wilsie Taylor Fisher.

The maid of honor was Alexandra Collins, sister of the bride, and matron of honor was Robin Davis, both of Danville. The bridesmaids were Rebecca Taylor Burns, sister of the bridegroom, of Thomas and Kelly Barton and Tracie Thornton, friends of the bride, from the Danville area. The flower girl was Kayla Collins, niece of the bride.

Brother of the bridegroom, R. Kent Taylor II of Morgantown served as best man. Groomsmen were Anthony Bates, friend of the bridegroom, of Coalton, David Collins II, brother of the bride, Heath Hylton and Jefrey Wright, friends of the couple, all from the Danville area.

Nancy and Mike Rowe, aunt and uncle of the bride, presented the music with a piano solo by Alexandra Collins.

Danville's vintage theme trolley bus transported the bridal party to the reception at the Community Market.

Aunt and uncle of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carey of Fairfax, Va., hosted the rehearsal dinner the evening before the wedding at River Oak Church of God in Danville.

The bride graduated from George Washington High School in Danville. She attended Radford University and completed her RN degree at Danville Regional School of Nursing. She is employed at Danville Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse in the operating room.

The bridegroom graduated from Elkins High School in 1995, Davis & Elkins College in 2000 and received a master's degree from West Virginia University in 2002. He is a certified athletic trainer employed at Danville Orthopedic Clinic Inc. as the director of sports medicine.

The couple now resides at 134 Starmont Drive, Danville, Va.
