Kent Ian Smith and Danielle Elyse Snider were married Aug. 8 at the Philippi Baptist Church. Pastor Shane Suiter officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Doug and Janette Snider of Philippi. She is the granddaughter of Juny and Elizabeth Hollen of Volga, Rodney Snider of Philippi and Jo Grove of Belington.

The bridegroom is the son of David and Pam Smith of Philippi. He is the grandson of Joe and Georgia Beymer of Philippi and the late Ned and Anabel Smith of Philippi.

Miranda Snider, sister of the bride, and Devon Freeman, sister of the bridegroom, served as honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Courtney Starcher, friend of the couple, Meredith Brown, friend of the couple, Holly Conklin, cousin of the bride, and Jeanette Bucher, friend of the couple.

Jason Wolfe, friend of the couple, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Andy Freeman, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Jeff Pierce, friend of the couple, Justin Barnes, friend of the couple, B.J. Wolfe, friend of the bridegroom, and Jason Bucher, friend of the couple.

Presley Johnson and Riley McCartney, both family friends to the couple, served as flower girls. Tyler Hollen and Landen Hollen, cousins of the bride, served as ring bearers.

Haleigh Smith, Carissa Snider and Megan Snider, all cousins of the bride, were guest book and program attendants.

The ceremony vocalist was Laura Priestely, friend of the couple, and pianist was David Dittenber, friend of the couple. Chad Hill, vocalist/guitarist of Belington, provided the recessional music "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.

Scripture readers were Katy Harclerode and Sarah Midkiff, both friends of the couple.

Following the ceremony a dinner/dance reception was hosted and catered at Village Square in Clarksburg.

All decorations, flower arrangements and bouquets were designed by Thornhill's Florist in Philippi. The four-tiered wedding cake with orange and yellow polka dots was made by Debbie Mitchell of Philippi. Music for the evening was provided by Sounds Fun Entertainment of Deep Creek Lake, Md. The photographer was David Lee Robinson Photography of Clarksburg (www.robofotos.com).

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Philip Barbour High School. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and is employed at Mylan Pharmaceuticals in Morgantown.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Philip Barbour High School. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy and is employed at Pikewood National Golf Course in Morgantown.

After a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple now reside in Morgantown.
