Dr. Charles and Wilda Godwin of Buckhannon will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Saturday with a private family celebration hosted by their children.
They were married March 6, 1945, at Woodford Memorial Methodist Church in Elkins by the late Rev. Don Taylor.
Mrs. Godwin, the former Wilda Moore, is the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Moore. She is a retired bookkeeper.

Mr. Godwin is the son of the late Charles and Blanche Godwin. He is a retired United Methodist minister.
They are the parents of Sharon and husband, Robert M. Carr, of Buckhannon, Charles Rodney and wife, Barbara, of Buckhannon, David and wife, Jane, of Buckhannon, John and wife, Kim, of Morgantown, Greg and wife, Lisa, of Athens and Jeff and wife, Diane, of Buckhannon.
They are also the grandparents of Dana Carr of Summersville, Patricia Talbert of Buckhannon, Trisha Citrone and husband, Eugene II, of Cranberry Township, Pa., Kenneth Carr and wife, Eden, of Ellenville, N.Y., Robert A. Carr of Harman, Lindsey Moehle and husband, Matthew, of Morehead, Ky., Natalie Eitel and husband, John, of Bellingham, Wash., Graham Godwin of Buckhannon, Jocelyn Peters and husband, Greg, of Morgantown, Donovan Godwin of Buckhannon, Jon Richard Godwin of Morgantown, Charles Wesley Godwin of Morgantown, Jordan Godwin of Buckhannon, Lauren Godwin of Madison, N.J., Ryan Godwin of Marietta, Ohio, Susan Godwin of Buckhannon, Emily Godwin of Buckhannon, and Adam Godwin and Margaret Ellen Godwin, who are deceased.
Great-grandchildren are Sierra Carr of Summersville, Eugene Citrone III, Francesca Citrone and Genevieve Citrone of Cranberry Township, Pa., Tyler Carr and Audrey Carr of Ellenville, N.Y., Adam Moehle and Eliana Moehle of Morehead, Ky., and Matthew Peters of Morgantown.
