Chester and Norma Harper of Harding celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 19 with a dinner at CJ Maggie's hosted by their children.
The Harpers were married Dec. 19, 1959, at Oakland, Md., by the Rev. Charles Godwin.
They have three children, Tim and wife, Barb, of Harding, Glenda House and husband, Steve, of Elkins and Dan and wife, Lynne, of Elkins. They also have three grandchildren, Megan, Holly and Elliot Harper.
