Melissa Mauzy Gwynn and Jeremy Kane Sexton, together with their parents, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Paul Mauzy Jr. of Parsons and Denver and Connie Rosier of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Paul Mauzy Sr. and the late Ruth Mauzy and the late Joseph and Norma Bava. She is a 1993 graduate of Tucker County High School and a 1995 graduate of Mitchell's Hairstyling Academy of Fayetteville, N.C. She is currently the owner of the Hair Haven in Parsons.
Her fiance is the son of Marlin and Pam Sexton of Parsons. He is the grandson of Jesse Roy and the late Barbara Sobczak Roy and the late Denver and Wanda Sexton. He is a 1998 graduate of Dekalb County High School in Indiana. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an aerospace ground equipment mechanic and currently serves in the U.S. Army in the Signal Corp in Augusta, Ga. He will serve his second tour in Iraq in August.

A wedding is planned on May 1 at the First United Methodist Church of Parsons. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. A reception will follow at Camp Kidd.
