Jefferson High School swept a pair of games from Elkins on Saturday in non-conference action.
The Cougars won the first game 7-6 and completed the sweep with a 23-14 win in the nightcap.
Alex Gaaserud took the loss in the opener for the Tigers (13-3) in 4 1/3 innings of work. Cody Gainer pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief.

Josh Davis had three hits, while Lance VanNoy belted two home runs and drove in four runs for Elkins.
Adam Fansler and Gaaserud added two hits each for the Tigers.
Elkins defeated Musselman on Friday 8-7.
The Tigers will travel to North Marion today for a North Central Athletic Conference matchup.
Pendleton County 7, East Hardy 3
FRANKLIN - David Bowers had two hits and drove in two runs to lead Pendleton County past East Hardy 7-3 Saturday in Potomac Valley Conference action.
Colin Mitchell added two hits and two RBIs for the Wildcats (8-9).
Philip Harper notched the win for Pendleton County in six innings of work. He gave up two runs on five hits.
Kolby Foltz had three hits and Jamie Miller collected a RBI single for the Cougars (13-2).
Miller took the loss for East Hardy in 5 2/3 innings.
The Cougars will face Tygarts Valley today at Robin Harvey Memorial Field for a Potomac Valley Conference matchup.
Pendleton County will travel to Tygarts Valley on Tuesday for a Potomac Valley Conference matchup..
High School Softball
MOOREFIELD?-The East Hardy softball team won three games in the Bub Riggleman Tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Cougars (19-3) defeated Petersburg 9-2 in Game 1.
Lindsay Basye notched the win in five innings of work. Basye gave up two runs on five hits, walked two and struck out six.
Basye had two hits and RBI, while Emily Biller added a three run triple.
East Hardy won the second contest 12-3 over Pendleton County.
Ashley Dove pitched a complete game for the win. She gave up three runs on seven hits walked six and struck out four.
Biller had three hits and drove in three runs to lead the Lady Cougars in Game 2.
East Hardy won the third game 11-1 over Lewis County.
Basye picked up the win in Game 3. Biller had three hits, while Morgan Mongold added two hits and drove in two runs for the Lady Cougars.
East Hardy will travel to Tygarts Valley today for a Potomac Valley Conference matchup starting at 4:30 p.m..
Elkins Wins Two
GLENVILLE?- The Elkins High School softball team picked up a pair of wins at the Glenville Tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Tigers (11-4) defeated Webster County 24-0 in three innings in Game 1.
Michaela Lewis-Lambert notched the win for Elkins in three innings of work.
She gave up no runs on no hits and struck out four.
Jill McClure had three hits, including a home run and drove in five runs to lead the Lady Tigers.
Jaime Miller added three hits and two RBIs, while Loryn Vanscoy chipped in with two hits and scored three runs.
Elkins lost the second contest 7-4 to Ripley.
Megan Nida took the loss in five innings of work. She gave up seven runs on seven hits, walked two and struck out three.
McClure had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Lady Tigers in Game 2.
Elkins won the nightcap 16-3 over Notre Dame.

High School Track
MORGANTOWN?- Elkins High School boys track team placed first at the West Virginia Invitational on Saturday.
Elkins first place winners include: Markus Cassidy (200 and 400), Cam Viney (110 and 300 intermediate hurdles), Zack Watson (discus), Keyder Woodcock (shot put), Joey Badgett (100) and Corey DeVall (long jump).
Elkins also placed first in the 4x400 (Cassidy, DeVall, Viney and Badgett), 4x800 (Badgett, DeVall, Ben Proudfoot and Cassidy) and shuttle hurdle relay (Badgett, Jerry Wilson, James White and Viney).
The Lady Tigers place fourth overall.
Leah Warner (high jump), Letitia Propst (800 and 3200) earned first place finishes.
The Lady Tigers placed first in the 4x400 relay team (Colleen Webley, Shannon Salisbury, Maddy Basil and Propst).
Elkins will host a home meet Tuesday starting at 4:30 p.m.
