Carrie Michele Firl and Jonathan Ayers-Kendall Rolfe were married on Oct. 24 at Biggs Army Airfield Chapel on Fort Bliss, Texas. The double-ring military ceremony was performed by Chaplain Capt. Taylor Kim.

The bride is the daughter of Philip and Carleen Firl of Montrose.

The bridegroom is the son of Dr. O.W. Rolfe of Kerrville, Texas.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. She wore a white halter gown with a cathedral train made of duchess satin with handsewn pearls and Swarovski crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and stargazer lilies.

Best friend of the bride, Dawn Jennings of St. Louis, Mo., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Knight of Elkins and Amy Firl of Dryfork, sisters of the bride. All carried hand-tied bouquets of stargazer lilies and yellow roses. Junior bridesmaid was Anne Rolfe of Newberg, Ore., niece of the groom.

Brother of the bridegroom, Alexander Rolfe of Newberg, Ore., served as best man.

Niece of the bride, Cara Ann Vance of Dryfork, served as the flower girl and carried a white satin basket with yellow rose petals.

Nephews of the bride, Kaden and Aaron Knight, served as the ring bearers.

Saber bearers for the ceremony were Capt. Charles Roush, Capt. James Dahl, Capt. James Hubbard, Capt. Philip Cole, Capt. Spencer Timmons, Capt. Daniel Symonds, Lt. Col. Charles Mills and Lt. Col. Arthur Weeks, all of Fort Bliss, Texas.

A reception was hosted at the Wyndham Hotel of El Paso. Flowers for the ceremony and reception were provided by Angie's Flowers of El Paso, Texas.

The bride is a graduate of Lindenwood University in St Charles, Mo., with a bachelor's degree in human resource management. She is employed in volunteer positions with the Junior Women's Club of El Paso; Fort Bliss Officer's Spouse Association and serves as the 2-3 Field Artillery Senior Family Readiness Advisor.

The groom is a graduate of University of Montana's U.S. Army ROTC program with a bachelor's and master's degrees in political science and also received his commission as an officer in the U.S. Army. He currently serves as the executive officer of 2-3 Field Artillery, 1st Brigade 1st Armor Division in Fort Bliss, Texas.

A honeymoon is being planned upon the bridegroom's return from his deployment to Iraq. The couple resides in El Paso, Texas.
