Pearl and Don Lipscomb of Belington will celebrate 70 years of marriage today.
Mr. Lipscomb, a patient of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, served in the South Pacific during World War II as a Navy corpsman. After serving in the Navy and living their working life in Akron, Ohio, the Lipscombs returned to enjoy retirement in Belington. He was active in the Belington and West Virginia State Kiwanis clubs.
Mrs. Lipscomb, a resident of the Laurel View Apartments, spent 25 years as a volunteer for the area Heart and Hand Ministries.

They have four sons, David Lynn, who is deceased, Jack Lee of Ft. Myers, Fla., Randall Dale of Akron, Ohio, and Jeffery Allan, who is deceased. They also have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
They are members of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Belington.
