Harmon "Sonny" Shannon and Esther Mae Collins Shannon recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
An anniversary celebration, hosted by their children, will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 26 in the fellowship hall of the Tygarts Valley Baptist Church located behind the Beverly Post Office. Friends and family are invited to attend. The couple has requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.
The couple were married Jan. 30, 1960. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E.B. Ware at Mill Creek.

The couple have two children, Anita Lambert and husband, Ronnie, of Mill Creek and Mark Shannon and wife, Trixie, of Abilene, Texas. They also have six grandchildren, Daniel "D.J.," Travis, Kayla and Abbey Lambert and Cole Alan and Anna Shannon.
The Shannons now reside in Beverly at the Heather Oaks development of Files Creek Road.
