Jake Sparks and Helen Sterling Sparks will celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary on Tuesday.
The couple were married on Sept. 21, 1958, at Valley Bend Methodist Church by the Rev. Henry Boley.
They are the parents of two children, Rodney Sparks and companion, Tiffney Gould, of Beverly and Margaret Swecker and husband, Dave, of Elkins. They also have three grandchildren, Jason Sparks of Dailey, Robert Sparks of Morgantown and Delore Lawrence of Marietta, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
