Ronald and Ruth McCoy of Elkins celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3. Their children hosted an anniversary party on Sept. 4 at Leading Creek Fire Department in Kerens with family and friends attending.
The couple were married at the home of the Rev. V.L. Bennett in Elkins on Sept. 3, 1960.
Mrs. McCoy, the former Ruth Bennett, is a retired employee of Reidbord Bros.

They are the parents of Patricia Biller and husband, Lloyd, of Dale City, Virginia; Mike McCoy and wife, Mary, of Elkins; Paul McCoy and wife, Melissa, of Elkins; and Cathy McCoy of Elkins. They also have 10 grandchildren.
