IMPORTANT STATEMENT — Lewis County Commissioner Agnes Queen, right, reads a proclamation declaring October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the county. Joining her in reading the proclamation are Kathy Helmick, left, of the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Awareness program, and West Virginia University Extension Agent Liz Post. As part of the activities planned for October, Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital will stage a dinner and educational seminar at 6 p.m. Oct. 18 at West Virginia University Jackson’s Mill.
