Allison Teter and Christopher Wolf were married on July 10 at First United Methodist Church in Parkersburg. The Rev. Damon Rhodes performed the ceremony and a blessing was provided by the Rev. Dr. Frank Shaffer, a friend of the family.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Amy Teter of Washington. She is the granddaughter of Mary Callison of Pittsburgh and the late Harper Callison and Lloyd and Sharon Teter of Elkins and the late Eleanor Teter.
She is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College. She is currently a biomedical sciences graduate student at Marshall University working toward a PhD in cancer biology.
The bridegroom is the son of Brian and Nancy Wolf of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of Beulah Riffle of Buckhannon and the late John Riffle and John and Priscilla Wolf of Parkersburg.
He is a 2004 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College. He is in his second year of medical school at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University and is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.
The bride wore an ivory strapless mermaid style gown and carried a bouquet of ivory roses made by her grandmother and aunt.
The bridesmaids wore purple rose, knee-length dresses and carried bouquets of light purple roses and deep purple hydrangeas. Flower arrangements were made by the bride's grandmother and aunt.
Maid of honor was Megan Docherty of Huntington, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rachel Teter, sister of the bride, Erica Wolf, sister of the bridegroom, Michelle Molinari of Morgantown, Sarah Rosier of Grafton and Kaylan Nock of Cranberry, Pennsylvania, all friends of the bride.
Best man was Drew Wolf, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Douglas Teter, brother of the bride, Josh Abbott of Morgantown, Bryson Morlan of Buckhannon, Will Holland of Parkersburg, and Dustin Jones of Lexington, Kentucky, all friends of the bridegroom.
Prelude music was performed by Carissa Patton on piano. Soloist Olivia Miller sang "Ave Maria" and "Morning Has Broken." Douglas Teter performed the processional, "Irish Maiden," on acoustic guitar and Josh Abbott performed Jack Johnson's "Better Together" during the recessional.
Guest book attendants were Adrienne Moretz, Jess Barkley and Heidi Webb, all friends of the bride. Photographers were Sarah Zucker of New York City, cousin of the bride, and Barb Teter of Elkins, aunt of the bride.
A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the Blennerhassett Hotel. The wedding cake was ivory with white orchids cascading down the side. Cheesecakes provided by the bride's great-aunt and decorated with Pittsburgh Steelers emblems were served as bridegroom's cake. The band Hip Pocket performed for the reception.
The couple spent their honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise with visits to Italy, Greece and Turkey, and currently reside in Huntington.
