Daultin and Kate Currence of Cassity celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5 at their home with a cookout hosted by their family.
The couple have resided at the "home place" in Cassity for the past 60 years. They were married in Elkins on Sept. 9, 1950, by the Rev. Ross Culpepper.
They have four children, Kenneth and Kevin Currence, Beverly Wine and Cindy Hamrick; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Krista, Khris, Keith, Keian and Karah Currence, Jeremy, Justin and Alison Hamrick, Charlie Wine Jr. and Kevin Currence II, who is deceased; and two great-grandchildren, Layne Hamrick and Ellie Currence.

Mr. Currence is the son of the late Wilson "Bandsaw" and Minnie Wagner Currence and is a retired coal miner.
Mrs. Currence is the daughter of the late Toney and Annie Miller Pastine and is a homemaker.
