Air Force Senior Airman Helena P. Cox has been selected for promotion to the rank of staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
Cox, an air transportation journeyman, is assigned to the 97th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
She is the daughter of Helena J. Bowrey of Thomas Street in Beverly. Her husband, James, is the son of Jim Cox and Barbara Cox, both of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The airman is a 2003 graduate of Elkins High School.
