HAS students host luncheon for area pastors

November 29, 2010
The Inter-Mountain

Highland Adventist School in Elkins recently hosted a Pastor Appreciation Luncheon for area pastors. Students at the school, who attend a variety of churches in the region, enjoyed eating lunch with their own pastor. Pastors were treated to a tour of the school followed by lunch planned by Annetta Williams, school volunteer. The school's choir and beginning orchestra performed followed by a performance by Highland String Orchestra.

"Pastors play such an important role in our community," said Cheryl Jacko, principal. "The spiritual and emotional support they provide really help us through the ups and downs of life. We think they deserve our recognition and appreciation. We are glad we could honor them during our luncheon."

For more information about Highland Adventist School for students in grades K-12, call the school at 304-636-4274 or visit the school website at www.highlandadventistschool.org.
