The Inter-Mountain

The Rev. Kevin Starcher was installed and ordained as associate minister of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church on Jan. 23. Members of the congregation, representatives of the Presbytery of West Virginia, family and friends attended. A catered dinner followed in the church's fellowship hall.

Starcher and his wife, Chrissy, moved to Elkins from Allenspark, Colorado, so he could accept the church's call for an associate pastor. He joins the Rev. Peter Vial in leading the congregation into a new phase in the church's growth. Working as a team, the two pastors will be actively seeking to attract youth and young families to the church.

He attended West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon. While there, he worked as a camp counselor at Camp Crestfield, a Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center located in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.
