Three receive Pilgrim’s Pride honors

Flo Gillaspie has been honored as the November 2010 "Partner of the Month" for the Pilgrim's Pride Moorefield fresh plant.

Gillaspie works in the housekeeping department on night shift and has worked for the company for 14 years.

"Flo is an excellent worker," said Connie Maynard, her supervisor. "She has perfect attendance and is an excellent team member. Flo has a 'take charge' attitude, showing tremendous initiative and she performs extra work to help the other shifts.

"She has a great work ethic and is very safety conscious," Maynard said.

Melissa Mongold has been honored as the December 2010 "Partner of the Month."

Mongold works in the accounting department on day shift and has worked for the company for nine years.

Mongold's supervisor, Kathy Riggleman, commented on her work performance: "Melissa has excellent attendance. I can depend on her to be at work regardless of the circumstances.

"She takes great strides to ensure she performs her job tasks efficiently and effectively. She is trustworthy, hardworking, always willing to learn new things and practices safe work habits daily," Riggleman said.

Michelle Davey has been honored as the January "Partner of the Month."

Davey works in the quality assurance department on day shift and has worked for the company for nine years.

"Michelle is one of the best team players in my department," said Deb Crites, her supervisor. "Her attendance is outstanding and she volunteers to work extra time if needed. She takes the initiative to train new employees and spreads her positive attitude to all around her.

"Michelle takes a lot of pride in her work and follows all work place policies and procedures," Crites said. "Safety is her first priority."

The "Partner of the Month" is a program that has been implemented to recognize employees for their outstanding merit and work ethic.

Employees in the program have exhibited outstanding work characteristics in the categories of attendance, teamwork, attitude and job performance.
