FBI arrives on scene

The FBI has arrived on scene of an incident at Central Street in Elkins where a possible hostage situation is taking place and where shots were fired earlier this morning.

Elkins Fire Chief Tom Meader has confirmed that his department helped transport a male gunshot victim to a hospital.

Agencies that have assisted in the situation this morning include the Elkins Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff's Department, West Virginia State Police, U.S. Marshals and Randolph County EMS.
