Timberline ready for final weekend

Timberline Four Seasons Resort and Conference Center will close its 2010/2011 ski season with three days of live entertainment beginning this afternoon.

The following is a schedule of entertainment events:

Today

4 p.m.: Durty Harry, folk, mountain and bluegrass music

8 p.m.: Saddle Tramp Joe, old western, country and rockabilly music

Saturday

4 p.m.: Durty Harry, folk and mountain bluegrass music

8 p.m.: Saddle Tramp Joe, old western, country and rockabilly music

Sunday

5 p.m.: Timberline employees closing party with music by Young Funk Sung

According to General Manager Tom Blanzy, although the ski season will end on Sunday, the resort's other activities will continue year round. These activities include daily food and beverage service, accommodations at the on site Timberline Hotel and Suites, conference facilities, Timberline Four Seasons Resort Real Estate vacation rental services, mountain biking program and Timberline Stables. The resort's popular mountain exploration by ascent on the scenic chairlift will begin on Memorial Day Weekend, live entertainment is featured regularly in the Timbers Pub and Fireside Grill

Upcoming weekend entertainment will feature Three time Pennsylvania champion fiddler, Fiddlin' Mike on April 1 and 2; and old time mountain music, folk and bluegrass on April 8 and 9.
