Christie Arizona White and Nathan Dean Fortney announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Jack and Connie Carroll of Delbarton and the granddaughter of Chloie Hall, the late Earl Spence and late Ruth Ann and Jack Stewart Carroll Sr. She is a 1993 graduate of Burch High School and a 2001 graduate of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. She is currently employed by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources in Parsons.
Her fiance is the son of Loren and Anita Fortney of Elkins, grandson of Ed and Jean Steerman, the late Fredrick and Winifred Fortney, and nephew of the late Helen Belle Corley. He is a 1997 graduate of Elkins High School, a 2001 graduate of Davis & Elkins College, with a degree in communication, and a 2005 graduate of the Perley Issac Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University, with a Master of Science degree in marketing communication. He is employed by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources in Elkins

The couple will wed at the Alliance Church in Gilman at 4:30pm on April 16. A reception will follow at the church's fellowship hall.
Following a brief honeymoon in the South, the couple will reside in Elkins.
