Mr. and Mrs. Al Mathews of Shelby, Ohio, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Gail Mathews, to Ernest William Kumpf, the son of the Rev. and Mrs. William Kumpf of Marlinton.
The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Shelby High School and will graduate in May from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, with a degree in child development center administration.
Her fiance is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Parsons of Parsons.

He is a 2009 graduate of Pocahontas County High School and is a sophomore at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he will graduate in 2013 with a degree in pastoral ministries.
The wedding will take place July 2 at Mansfield First Church of the Nazarene, where Ernest Kumpf is interning while attending MVNU.
