Federal grand jury indicts 3 in connection with U.S. marshal shooting

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II announced that Sherry Lou Smith, 49, of Elkins, Anthony Lambert, 23, of Montrose and Cassandra Smith, 25, of Elkins, were arrested today on charges stemming from a 14-count indictment returned bya federal grand jury in Elkins.

The charges are related to the attempt on Feb. 16 by Deputy U.S. Marshal Derek Hottinspiller and others to serve a warrant on Charles Smith at his residence at 319 Central St.
