Andrea Beth Wamsley and Jeffrey Scott Barr were united in marriage on Oct. 2, 2010, at Pendleton Point Overlook at Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Ellis Conley and the Rev. Dr. Basil Hensley, who both were instrumental in the formation of the bride's Christian journey.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Jane Wamsley of Valley Bend and the granddaughter of Andy and Janice Wamsley of Valley Bend and the late Philip and Ann Madden.

The bridegroom is the son of Tom and Cathy Barr of St. George. He is the grandson of Wilda and Dale Harsh of Aurora, Bernard Wilt of Aurora, Don Barr of St. George and the late Gayleen Barr.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. She wore an ivory, strapless A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline. She carried a bouquet of assorted fall gerber daisies and miniature sunflowers with her grandmother Madden's weddings rings attached to honor the memory of her maternal grandparents.

Serving as maid of honor was Monica Wamsley, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sara Chadwich, Hannah (Swecker) Fincham, Ashley (Jones) Palmer and Sarah Erwin Vance, all friends of the bride. The bride's attendants wore strapless chocolate dresses with champagne sashes. They also carried bouquets of gerber daisies and sunflowers.

Serving as best man was Brandon Duckworth, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Justin Robinson, friend of the bridegroom, and Joshua Poling, cousin of the bridegroom.

Pianist was Raymond Godwin of Valley Bend. Guestbook attendant was Gina Pratt, friend of the bridegroom. Karissa Gutierrez and Jillian Geldbaugh, friends of the bride, were in charge of the photo booth guestbook. Special ceremony readings were done by Jennifer Jones, sister of the bridegroom, and Laura (Ford) Wamsley, friend of the bride. Photography was by Christie Kepner of Foto 1 Pro Photography. Flowers were provided by Rennix Flowers of Valley Bend.

Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted at the Bear Paw Lodge at Canaan Valley with catering by Canaan Valley Resort. Music was provided by Garrett Shiflett, cousin of the bride. The five-tier wedding cake was by Vada Holman of Akron, Ohio, aunt of the bridegroom.

The bride is a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School. She received her bachelor's degree in athletic training from West Virginia University and her doctor of physical therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts. She is employed by Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital as a physical therapist.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Tucker County High School. He received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree of business administration from West Virginia University. He is employed as an engineer form FM Approvals.

The couple resides in Newton, Massachusetts.
