Kathleen Calain and Daniel Staten were married on Dec. 11, 2010, at Rivers of Living Water Ministries in Elkins. Pastor Mike Boggs performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Pat Calain of Elkins. The bridegroom is the son of Donna Staten of Elkins and the late Don Staten.
The bride wore an ivory Alfred Angelo gown. The dress featured burgundy accents, beading on the front and back, and a scalloped edge train. She carried a cascading bouquet of white poinsettias and ivy made as a wedding gift by the bride's close friends, Jennifer and Sandy Young of Just Right Gifts Inc. in Wheeling.

Serving as matron of honor was Michaella Bissett-Goddard, friend of the bride. Maid of honor was Elizabeth Zirkle, daughter of the bride.
The bride's attendants were Kenita Slagle-Gravely, Manda Jones-Queen, Amanda Vandevender and Cheri Reed, all friends of the bride, and Sierra Staten, niece of the bridegroom.
Serving as flower girl was Mackenzie Staten, niece of the bridegroom.
Serving as best man was Shawn Wamsley, friend of the bridegroom, and junior best man Hunter Staten, son of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen were Tim Currence, friend of the bridegroom, Donnie Staten, brother of the bridegroom, Howard Triplett, uncle of the bridegroom, Ken Calain, brother of the bride, and Matthew Zirkle, son of the bride.
Serving as ring bearer was Dalton Staten, son of the bridegroom.
The bride was given in marriage by her children and parents and escorted to the altar by her son.
The couple's church family, including Pat Schoonover with soloist Micky Messer and Jessie Wanless, provided the music for the ceremony. Guestbook attendant was Sarah Woods. Angie Pritt, friend of the bride, served as the wedding photographer. The flowers for the ceremony were by Jo Jo's Florist of Elkins.
Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted at the Elks Lodge. The three-tier wedding cake and catering was provided by Tiffany Henderson of Elkins, friend of the bride. Music was provided by Bobby Benavides, friend and co-worker of the bride.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Elkins High School and a 2004 graduate of Davis & Elkins College with a degree in history and business. She is employed by World Vision in Philippi.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Elkins High School. He is employed by Armstrong World Industries of Beverly.
Following a February honeymoon to Florida, the couple resides in Elkins.
