Joseph and Carol Elbon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 21.
They were married in Bethel Park, Maryland, in 1961.
They have two children, Connie Von Bruton, of Parkersburg, and Anita Gilroy of Valley Bend. They have three grandchildren, Jay Von Bruton, Melissa Von Bruton and Noah Gilroy; and one great-grandchild, LeAnne Von Bruton.

Mr. Elbon has been employed at Newlons for 45 years.
Mrs. Elbon is a 25-year employee of Reckart Equipment Co.
They will be having a family celebration at their home in Valley Bend.
