The First United Methodist Church, located at 315 Kerens Ave. in Elkins, has planned a special event Sunday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the valor of those who responded to aid those in need. Firefighters, law enforcement and EMTs throughout Randolph County have been invited to a breakfast beginning at 9 a.m. Groups have been asked to interact with the children of the church and then attend the 11 a.m. service, which will be filled with patriotic music that will honor the profound sacrifices in the attacks involving the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Flight 93. The public may attend both events. Questions can be directed to the FUMC at 304-636-0660.
The Randolph?County Emergency Squad will bring an ambulance to show the children of the church. Representatives will be Robbie Moyer and Barbara Teter.
