Tucker County High School students will have the opportunity to find out how much education might be needed for a position in a variety of fields during career day from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday. Students also get to speak with representatives from a multitude off workforce segments.
"Career day is not being positioned as a hiring fair," Tucker County Chamber of Commerce office manager Tina Lipscomb said. "We are always looking for more options for students at the high school including law enforcement, legal, cosmetology, dental and contracting."
The chamber, in cooperation with Mountain State Expo, will provide a full "pipe and drape" exhibit hall atmosphere that can be compared to one found in a trade show or consumer show in much larger venues. The set-up time for exhibitors is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For information or to exhibit, call Lipscomb at 304-259-5315.
Students at Tucker County High School will have the opportunity to meet representatives from businesses to learn about education requirements at career day on Thursday. Questions about the event should be directed to Tina Lipscomb at 304-259-5315.
