Peter and Phyllis Baxter of Elkins announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Margaret Baxter, to Jeremiah Kent "Jay" Knavenshue, son of Mike and Amy Knavenshue of Elkins.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Elkins High School and will graduate in December from West Virginia University with a degree in civil engineering.
Her fiance is the grandson of Jean Knavenshue and the late Jay Knavenshue, and James Channell and William and Carrie Jones, all of Elkins. He is a 2007 graduate of Elkins High School and graduated from WVU in May with a degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering. He is employed by Halliburton Energy Services and lives in Indiana, Pa., where the couple will make their home.
