The Mountaineer Chapter of IWLA would like to thank the many individuals who have purchased any of our raffle tickets during our spring daily lottery three gun/cash giveaway, fall gun raffle and our 50/50 drawings.
All funds raised on our raffles will benefit our free annual youth events, Air Rifle Shooting Event and our Youth Conservation Day.
We would also like to thank the many who attended our annual Buckwheat Feed this year. During our Buckwheat Feed we had the drawing for our fall gun giveaway and are pleased to announce that William Welch from Oakland, Md., was the winner. The winner of our 50/50 drawing for the same day was Clyde Thompson.
Although many of the chapter members volunteered their time to help out during the event, every year the Randolph County 4H Teen Leaders pitch in by waiting and serving tables for us. Their effort is greatly appreciated and without their help our job would be a lot harder. Our local 4H Youth Program gives young people in our area the skills they need to thrive and succeed throughout their lives.
We give a big How How to the following 4-H Teen Leaders: Donnie Pritt, Jeremy Johnson, Shannon Johnson and Donna Henline; to other 4-H teens Steven Demyan, Aaron New, Jared Bowers, Nekeisha Henline, Destiny Brown, Brittany Robinson, Dalton Yoakum and Dakota Pritt. Thanks again for a job well done and we are looking forward to working with you next year.
Our Buckwheat Feed was organized by George Collett and we served approximately 500 people. Our thanks also go to Dick Campbell from Campbell's Market in Beverly for being available if more supplies are needed and for making the great tasting sausage for our feed.
I would like to take the time to say thank you to The Inter-Mountain for printing our many articles that they have run for us in the past and for the future. Their efforts and kindness help us inform the public of our events and the chapter members deeply appreciate all they do. Many thanks again to all for your support and we hope to see you at one of our events.
