WESTON - ConventionSouth, the national multi-media magazine for planning events in the South, announced recently that Stonewall Resort, located in Lewis County, West Virginia, has been honored with a 2011 Readers' Choice Award, resort officials announced.
"This award is determined by professional meeting planners - those individuals and organizations that book events in the South," said Mike Hager, general manager of Stonewall Resort. "It is an honor to know that the efforts of our team here at Stonewall Resort are being recognized and rewarded for the high level of service and overall quality experience they deliver to our customers each and every day."
Hager said meeting professionals and event planners were asked to name the convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs), convention centers, conference centers, hotels, resorts and other meeting sites that they believe display exemplary creativity and professionalism to groups. Nominations were received from readers throughout the year and the top picks were selected via online voting from more than 1,000 readers.
ConventionSouth Publisher J. Talty O'Connor said, "The value in receiving this recognition is that it comes from the United States' top meeting professionals who book events in the South. These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have determined that the recipients of ConventionSouth's Readers' Choice Awards do indeed display the commitment to professionalism, creativity, excellence and outstanding customer service they require. It is an honor to announce that these sites are selected by meeting and event planners as some of the best in the South."
Hager said the full list of award winners will be published in the December 2011 issue of ConventionSouth Magazine. A complete list of award winners can be found online at www.conventionsouth.com/2011-readers-choice-awards.htm.
