Kids can’t learn in the cold

Editor:

I'm a concerned grandparent of two kids at Harman High School in Harman. These kids have missed too many days of school because of no heat or just not enough heat to keep them warm during school hours.

When does our board of education feel the urgency to correct the problem for this school? It is just a small school nestled in the mountains of Randolph County that has to fight for every opportunity that is taken for granted by every other school in the county.

I'm not stopping here for help with this problem, nor will I be ignored by the county that is responsible for our schools and children.
