Richard and Patty Hiner of Durbin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 30, 2011.
The couple were married in Monterey, Va., on Sept. 30, 1961, by the Rev. Norman Compton.
They have a daughter, Michelle Hiner, in Bridgeport.
