CHARLESTON - Circuit Judge Jim Rowe is the latest to file for West Virginia's Supreme Court race.

The Greenbrier County Democrat is running for one of two 12-year terms up this year on the five-seat appeals court.

Rowe had announced plans for a 2012 candidacy last year. He filed Wednesday, and joins Justice Robin Davis and former State Bar President Tish Chafin for that party's May 8 primary. The GOP primary has so far attracted Circuit Judge John Yoder of Jefferson County.

Republican lawyer Bill Lester also filed Wednesday to challenge fellow Raleigh County resident and Democratic U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall. The state's congressional districts remain uncertain amid a federal challenge.

More than 130 people have filed to run for the Legislature. The candidacy deadline is Jan. 28.
