Buckhannon Community Theatre auditions for the spring play, "The Odd Couple," will be Feb. 2 and 3 at the Stockert Youth Center.
Auditions will be for adult men and women in an open format from 5 to 8 p.m. "The Odd Couple" performances will take place the weekend of March 31 at the 88 Restaurant and Lounge located within Buckhannon's Bicentennial Inn. There will be "tour" performances in neighboring towns afterward.
"The Odd Couple" is a Neil Simon comedy about a clash of personalities. One lead character is neurotic, precise and fastidiously clean while the other lead is the exact opposite: sloppy and casual. The two characters share an apartment as roommates, and their differing lifestyles inevitably lead to plenty of conflicts, but even more laughs.
Those wishing to audition are asked to come ready to read provided excerpts of the script.
The 2012 Buckhannon Community Theatre Season will include "The Odd Couple" as well as the summer musical, "The Secret Garden."
