100th birthday

Colonial Place resident Mary Hilton celebrated her 100th birthday Jan. 18 surrounded by family and friends.

Hilton was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1916, settling in Illinois and then in Washington, D.C.

She and Richard Hilton were married in 1933 and are the parents of three children, Richard of Baton Rouge, La., Ken of Ocala, Fla., and Diana of Philippi.

Hilton worked for the Federal Communications Commission and retired at age 68. She has been a member of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years and was in the Grand Chapter of Maryland as a Star Point.
