MILL?CREEK?- Jamie Miller recorded a double-double to lead East Hardy past Tygarts Valley 68-56 Friday in West Virginia Hometown Invitational Tournament action.

Miller finished with a game-high 24 points to lead the Cougars (11-4), who led 33-25 at halftime and 47-32 after three quarters of play.

Tyler Mongold followed with 20 points and Shawn Skovron added 10 points for East Hardy.

Korey Foltz chipped in with eight points, five assists and four steals for the Cougars.

"I was happy with our team's defense, especially in the second half," East Hardy coach Danny Dewhurst said. "We beat a good quality team in Tygarts Valley, which is one of the top teams around the area."

Brandon Pritt finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Bulldogs (11-4).

J.D. Brown added 11 points, while Adam Cassell chipped in with nine points and rebounds for the Bulldogs.

"We came out flat tonight against a good East Hardy team," Tygarts Valley coach Tom Wamsley said. "We need to regroup and be ready for Highland County (Va.).

East Hardy travels to Pocahontas County today for a PVC?matchup.

Tygarts Valley visits Highland County (Va.) today at 3 p.m.

Moorefield 60, Petersburg 55

MOOREFIELD -?Adam Snyder had 23 points to lead Moorefield past Petersburg 60-55 Friday in non-conference action.

Snyder added eight assists and seven steals for the Yellow Jackets (13-1), who have won 11 straight games.

Jared Kite and Lance Taylor had 12 points each for the Yellow Jackets.

Cody Rohrbaugh had 18 points, while Grant Shanholtz followed with 13 points for the Vikings (3-13).

Seth Thompson added 11 points for Petersburg.

"I was happy with how our kids never gave up tonight," Moorefield coach Pat McGregor said. "We beat a good Petersburg team even though their record doesn't show it."

Petersburg hosts Keyser on Tuesday.

Moorefield travels to Tucker County for a PVC matchup on Monday.

Tucker County 90,

Pocahontas County 56

HAMBLETON?- Tyler Snyder had 22 points to lead Tucker County past Pocahontas County 90-56 Friday in PVC action.

Snyder also had nine assists for the Mountain Lions (10-5), who led 41-34 at halftime and 65-45 after three quarters of play.

Ian Nichols had 20 points and 14 rebounds for Tucker County.

Mikhail Lewis chipped in with 19 points, while Trevor Kidwell added 11 points for the Mountain Lions.

Dillon Kelly had 20 points to lead Pocahontas County.

Skylar Knisley added nine points for the Warriors.

"I?wasn't happy with our team's defense in the first half, but we picked it up in the second half," Tucker County coach Tom Gutshall. "We shot the ball a lot better this evening and I was happy with how we played overall."

Pocahontas County entertains East Hardy today.

Tucker County hosts rival Moorefield on Monday.
