Velma E. Phillips of Elkins celebrated her 93rd birthday on Jan. 20 with a gathering of her family at her home.
On Oct. 5, 1935, she was married to the former Otto J. Phillips, who passed away June 14, 1992.
She has five children, Ronald R. Phillips and wife, Jeannie; Janet W. Harman and husband, Jim; Nancy J. Jones and husband, Tom; Otto J. Phillips and wife, Mary; and Robert L. Phillips, who is deceased. She has 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
