Mark Twain program planned

Douglas Riley will portray Mark Twain on stage, discussing his life as a humorous writer, at 7 p.m. March 13 at the Landes Arts Center, 18 Mt. View St. in Petersburg.

Riley will present a different program, Mark Twain on "Writing Huckleberry Finn," at 9:30 a.m. March 14. Also at the Landes Arts Center, this event is open to the public. Students from Petersburg High School and Union Educational Complex also will attend. There will be an admission charge.

These events are presented by the Grant County Arts Council Inc. and community sponsors Grant County Bank and Breath of Heaven Bed and Breakfast. These programs are presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History through a grant, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
