13 to compete in 8- to 9-year-old pageant division

The West Virginia Strawberry Festival will stage its Junior Royalty Festival at 1 p.m. Saturday at Buckhannon-Upshur High School. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and younger. The day begins at 9 a.m. with contestant registration, followed by a 9:30 a.m. rehearsal and 10 a.m. interviews.

Competing in the 8- to 9-year-old girls' division are Madison Currence, Natalie Ann Petrice, Elizabeth O'Neill, Savannah Morgan Traine, Graci Erin Carr, Gracie Isabella Marsh, Jade Demaira Kesling, Kenzie Rae Burnside, Sydney Willett, Jessica Lynn Lane, Irelynn Keigley, Grayson Ranae Enoch and Hannah Hollen.

Currence, 8, is the daughter of Dale and Kelley Currence. A second-grade student at Union Elementary, she enjoys Girl Scouts, horses and reading.

Petrice, 8, of Coalton, is the daughter of Ericka Long and Steve Petrice. She is in third grade at Coalton Elementary School, and enjoys baseball, singing, swimming, participating in pageants, bike riding and playing with her sister.

O'Neill, 8, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Tom and Megan O'Neill. She is a third-grader at Buckhannon Academy Elementary School, and enjoys reading, drawing, painting, playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.

Traine, 8, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Nicholas and Michelle Caynor. She attends second grade at Tennerton Elementary School, and enjoys ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop dancing, Brownie Girl Scouts, being on the swim team, reading, drawing and playing with her sister.

Carr, 9, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Curtis and Alicia Carr. She is a third-grade student at Buckhannon Academy Elementary School, and enjoys modern dance, hip-hop dancing, gymnastics, cheerleading, soccer, Girl Scouts, cooking, craft projects, skiing, playing with her friends and spending time with her family.

Marsh, 9, of Weston, is the daughter of Julia and John Marsh. She is a third-grader at St. Patrick's School, and enjoys taking ballet, tap and jazz dancing classes, playing the piano and being in the school choir.

Kesling, 9, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Amber and Jimmie Kesling. She attends fourth grade at Hodgesville Elementary School. She enjoys arts and crafts, softball, gymnastics, soccer, baking cookies and science.

Burnside, 9, of Rock Cave, is the daughter of John and Judy Burnside. She is a third-grader at French Creek Elementary School, and enjoys drawing, writing and gymnastics.

Willett, 9, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Dennis and Tracey Willett. She is a fourth-grade student at Buckhannon Academy Elementary School, and enjoys acting, swimming, art, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Lane, 9, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Todd and Stephanie Lane. A fourth-grade student at Washington District Elementary School, she enjoys being in the school's choir and Kindness Club, karate, baseball, bicycle riding, camping, drawing, twirling and dancing.

Keigley, 9, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Rhonda Keigley-Golden and William Golden. She is a third-grader at Tennerton Elementary School, and she enjoys singing, dancing, playing outside, gardening, crocheting, animals, amusement parks and history.

Enoch, 9, of Mineral Wells, is the daughter of Beth and Mark Cothern and Mark Enoch. She is a third-grader at Mineral Wells Elementary School, and enjoys playing basketball, gymnastics, being in pageants and participating in the Relay for Life.

Hollen, 8, of Buckhannon, is the daughter of Tom and Heather Hollen. She attends Union Elementary School, and enjoys ballet, jazz dance, theater performances, playing with her sister and hanging out with friends.
