Two marijuana-related drug arrests were made Monday in Buckhannon.

Buckhannon Police Chief Matt Gregory reported that officers from his department arrested Ronald McCarty, 37, of Buckhannon, at Maple Village, on a count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Gregory said Patrick Wayne Courtney, 21, of Buckhannon, was arrested at 10 Franklin St.

Courtney has been charged with one count of possession with the intent to deliver.

Both arrests are the result of ongoing investigations, Gregory said.

Patrolman Adam Gissy is the investigating and arresting officer. He was assisted by Gregory, Lt. Doug Loudin, Cpl. Tom Posey and PFC William Courtney, along with Upshur County sheriff's deputies.
