The Randolph County School System is preparing for its second year of improvement work to its heating ventilation and air condition systems. While that may not sound like the most exciting news, it will make a difference in a lot of ways.
Students and faculty members have been pleased so far with the first round of work. A more effective heating system has put an end to the days of wearing coats in the classrooms.
The efficiency of the new system is likely to save energy costs in the county schools, and that money can be put toward funding other projects.
For this, the school system, its students and employees have the voters of Randolph County to thank. The heating ventilation and air condition systems are just a part of the upgrades being funded through excess levy monies. It's good to know that taxpayer money is being put to good use and that so many who pass through our schools are seeing the benefits.
