The West Virginia Photography Network has postponed or canceled two March events.
Instead of holding the "meet and greet" event today, WVPN will hold the same event at 11 a.m. May 5 at Ryan's on Emily Drive in Clarksburg.
This change was made to expand the photography capabilities of the Valley Falls photo shoot after the meeting.
In May, more wildflowers will be out and give members more to photograph than just the falls.
On March 17, the group was going to meet up at New River Gorge for a group photo shoot hosted by photographer and WVPN administrator Martin Unrue of Wilding. Unrue's schedule has changed and he will be unable to commit to the event. This may be an event WVPN will reschedule in the future, but for now, the event has been canceled.
WVPN is an online group dedicated to aiding amateur photographers just becoming interested in photography, a place to share photos and get or give feedback and helpful criticism.
WVPN encourages members to give feedback and suggestions. If members have a request for a specific "meet and greet" event, they are encouraged to voice it. Currently the group is working to host some events that are not as centrally located so that more northern-based or southern-based members also can meet.
The group can be found on Facebook by searching for West Virginia Photography Network.
Pending a quick review to prove that all potential members are real people, new members are always approved.
